Event Schedule

Come for a day or join us for the season.  All events begin at 10:00am and run through 4:00pm.  Convenient parking is available for the whole family.  (Enter through Gate 2 and follow signs.) Visit the newly restored Endicott House and the Log Cabin; visit us in the General Store in the Brantley Building; enjoy a visit to the Blacksmith and Print Shop and send the kids to participate in sack races and other old fashioned fun!  All that and we haven't even started yet.........join us as each month we feature a special flavor...all at The Pinellas Pioneer Settlement!

Come visit, explore our buildings and get hands on training for our various Volunteer Opportunities.

Autumn Harvest.  October 19, 2013.
Let's celebrate this special time of year when the harvest was traditionally gathered and thanks given. Bob for apples, get your face painted, take a hay ride and don't forget to visit the Print Shop and Blacksmith. Come watch the fascinating Sawmill and head on over to the Sugar Shed and try the two man saw yourself. Make candles, churn butter then stop by for lunch at the Bullet Hole concession stand.

Family Fun Activities Day &
4th Annual Chili Cook-off

Bring the whole family and let local scout groups host you during a round of fun and entertainment. Find out who has the best chili recipe--will a new winner be crowned? Well, let's find out! Are you the Chili King?? Sign up and let's see if the judges agree. APPLICATION Come cheer on your favorite competitor while you enjoy old fashioned games: sack races, corn hole, rope making, checkers, can toss, horseshoes and others. Make homemade crafts and choose from lots of other activities. Cap it all off with a hay ride and trip through the General Store in the Brantley building. Plenty of fun for all and a wonderful way to head into Thanksgiving week! Girl Scout Cookies for sample, too!

Christmas Jamboree.  December 14, 2013
Come wander amongst the beautifully decorated Christmas Trees covered in old thyme decorations. Make your own and share it on our trees! Enjoy a break from the hectic holiday season and join us in fun family activities as you stroll around the Park. Enjoy an atmosphere of community and old fashion holiday fun!

Music Jamboree.  February 15, 2014. 
Enjoy music by the Pole Barn or just while strolling the grounds. Enjoy a hayride around the park ($1).  Pumpkin pancakes by the summer kitchen--yummy!  Face painting by local Girl Scout Troops; candle making and so much more.  Come join us!

Cook Your (Pork) Butt Off! April 26, 2014.
Judging in various categories with bragging rights for the Best BBQ Cook PPS 2014. (Sign up, entry fees and additional information here!)  Families, whether you're joining in on the competition or just planning on sampling the goodies, plan to join us Friday evening and tent camp at the Settlement.  Spend the day Saturday with us and then sleep over that evening, too.  Join us at one of several community campfires.  Grab a stick and make your own s'mores.
